Emining Technical Training Institute is a modern built TVET accredited institution situated in Emining, Mogotio district Baringo County.
The college is situated 2 Kilometres off Nakuru – Marigat highway and 60 kilometres to the Northern side of Nakuru Town. The institute stands on a 15 acres piece of land donated by both Emining primary school and Emining boys’ high school. The proximity of the two institutions and Emining township makes the college a resource centre in the provision of technical skills and creation of awareness in career choices and development.
The Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology, on approving the building of the institution at Emining, channelled the funds through Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) and the first foundation stone was laid on 7th October 2011. The construction commenced immediately and a year later, the facility was completed and was officially opened on 13th December 2012 by the then Minister of Higher Education Science and Technology (MOHEST) as a constituent college of RVTTI– Eldoret.
The first students were enrolled in May 2013 to pursue Craft certificate in Mechanical engineering, and Motor vehicle mechanics.
In January 2014, a board of Governors was constituted and inaugurated and now the institute functions under the Emining TTI board of Governors.
